About the Director

Writer/Director/Producer Donna Kanter has produced countless realty series, dramatic films and documentaries. As the daughter of legendary writer/director/producer Hal Kanter (Elvis films to the Rose Tattoo to the groundbreaking TV series Julia and The Jimmy Stewart Show), Donna talks in the podcast below about growing up in Hollywood, her father, and 40 years of his lunches with some of the greatest comics and comedy writers featured in her documentary LUNCH. The film includes Sid Caesar, Carl Reiner, Monty Hall, Ben Starr, Garry Owens, director Arthur Hiller, MASH writer John Rapaport, Rocky Kalish, and other legends.
